Who is eligible to borrow under the Agricultural Credit Facility, and what projects are eligible for financing under the Fund?

All individuals, groups, partnerships,
companies, and SACCOs operating in Uganda and involved in agriculture,
agro-processing, and grain trade are eligible for financing under the
Agriculture Credit Facility.
Almost all activities along the agricultural
value chain are eligible including acquisition of agricultural and
agro-processing machinery and equipment, irrigation systems, post-harvest
handling and storage facilities, agriculture in-puts for farm use such as
pesticides and fertilizers, purchase of biological assets such as banana
suckers, fruit seedlings, chicks, piglets, cows and goats for restocking the
farm, land opening, infrastructural developments on the farm and working
capital which does not exceed 20% of the total project cost.
