How does someone access the Agricultural Credit Facility and Small Business Recovery Fund?

Eligible borrowers can access the loan only
through the Participating Financial institutions, banks and SACCOs regulated by
the Bank of Uganda.
All potential borrowers must have an active
account with Participating Financial Institutions, a valid business existence,
and a bankable project proposal. The application should be submitted to the PFI
for credit appraisal review for possible financing.
Both the Agricultural Credit Facility and Small
Business Recovery Fund are refinancing schemes; Participating Financial Institutions
are responsible for the credit appraisal of all potential borrowers following
their internal credit policies and in compliance with the Schemes’ operating
guidelines. Thereafter, disburse the funds to the borrowers and claim the
government of Uganda’s contribution as per the operating guidelines.
